
What is Environmental Wellness?
Environmental is one of my favorites to explain because I love being out in nature and sharing my love for exploring! This does not have to involve outside, it could be someone’s work space or household atmosphere for instance. If you have a healthy clean environment, it puts your mind at ease or even out in nature when you have the time. It allows us to be inspired to live in harmony with the earth and its people by promoting interactions with nature. This wellness is the most important to take care of for the safety and longevity of the earth’s resources. The world is out there to be explored so go grab a buddy and find your calling!
What activities promote Environmental Wellness?
- Activity 1: Go into nature
Hiking is just one example of nature’s activities that we can do to immerse ourselves in a new environment. Depending on the location, there could be dozens of trails that are waiting to be explored and respected. Although this activity may seem physical, it is much more than that. Environmental encompasses the quality of the environment, the surrounding you find yourself in affects the other dimensions. Many like to explore the outdoors with groups, which is why this wellness is a great outlet for the social wellness dimension too.
- Activity 2: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
This activity is a great way to start helping the environment in your neighboring community. Many trash companies provide a recycling bin along with your normal trash bin. Families could get their children involved in this activity by providing insight on the benefits and even making it a paid chore if you are really strict about the importance. Conserving natural resources and energy can be done by turning off lighting when it is not needed and reducing shower duration. Most communities also include local dumps that will pay you to bring stuff like metal and big items in.
