What is Physical Wellness?
Physical wellness is what we call a cycle, because if you are lacking in one area of balance then the others being to overcompensate or become neglected too. When we are working full time jobs, raising a family or just trying to figure it out, we tend to be forgetful. This wellness is everything involving fueling our bodies to operate at the beat we can be. Proper nutrition allows the body to perform activities such as, weight lifting and after a good night’s sleep, the body has recovered from the stress it has gone through. The ability to maintain a healthy quality of life will help us achieve the balance in all other aspects of life.
What activities promote Physical Wellness?
- Activity 1: Tennis
This is a great sport that anyone can play at their neighborhood courts or park. There are a ton of great videos online to help any level of player, from beginner to advanced. Tennis is just one example of a physical activity to get you or your friends into. As someone who has ridden horses since I could walk, finding another sport that I could be competitive in has been a game changer in my fitness goals.
- Activity 2: Sleep Log
A sleep log is a wonderful idea for those who find themselves waking up exhausted in the morning with no energy. I often feel the need to hit the snooze button one more time in the morning, but don’t we all. By logging your sleep, you will be able to see trends in sleeping patterns to help to adjust for a better nights sleep. There are many apps that can assist in tracking sleep like Sleep Cycle and Head space.
